1. About IPPF
The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a global healthcare provider and a leading advocate for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all. Led by a group of brave and determined women, IPPF was founded in 1952 at the Third International Conference on Family Planning. Today, we are a movement of 120 autonomous members with a presence in over 146 countries.
BACKGROUND FOR CONTRACTING – IPPF has multi-level political advocacy as a fundamental pillar of its 2028 Strategy. To this end, IPPF ACRO has identified various advocacy spaces to act, including the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP). The ICFP, since its first meeting in Kampala, Uganda, in 2009, has become a fundamental catalyst for reproductive health worldwide. This conference is a strategic turning point for nations, institutions, and individuals seeking to make commitments and celebrate successes in family planning and reproductive health.
More than just a conference, the ICFP has evolved into a digital platform that resonates equally among researchers, health equity advocates, governments, and communities. It is a dynamic movement that drives universal access to family planning, supported by a vibrant community propelled by collaboration, inclusivity, innovation, and scientific integrity. IPPF is a leader with over 70 years of experience in promoting and advocating for sexual and reproductive health and rights, and with tenacious work in the Americas and the Caribbean in providing healthcare to all people, in their broadest diversity. Therefore, IPPF ACRO will be a prominent actor at the ICFP 2025 in Bogotá, Colombia. For this very strategic space, IPPF is meticulously organizing a significant delegation, comprising esteemed members from diverse regions across the globe – representing member organizations and the secretariat – to ensure their impactful participation in this pivotal conference. This delegation will necessitate comprehensive logistical support, encompassing direct assistance with travel arrangements, conference registrations, visa applications, and hotel accommodations, access to food and transportation. Our unwavering commitment is to ensure their seamless arrival, comfortable stay in Bogotá, and safe return to their respective homes upon the conference's conclusion. While the precise number of delegates is still being finalized,
