 The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) convenes global and emerging leaders to create and implement solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. CGI works with partners to drive action through its unique model. Rather than directly implementing projects, CGI facilitates action by helping members connect, collaborate, and develop Commitments to Action. 

 
Core Responsibilities  
Help develop, grow, and manage of a diverse community of organizations focused on advancing progress for women and girls:  
  • Proactively build and manage a pipeline of target organizations to join the CGI network and attend CGI events, including potential commitment makers, paying ticket holders, sponsors, and more. Examples of target organizations include Fortune 500 companies, large philanthropic institutions, innovators, impactful nonprofits, and other organizations focused on gender equity.  
  • Manage existing CGI partnerships and relationships related to advancing gender equity, including collaboratively across teams. 
  • When appropriate, partner with the CGI Community Growth and Clinton Foundation development team to support sponsorship proposals or other asks to help sustain the work of CGI. 
Support development and management of Commitments to Action (CTAs): 
  • Develop a portfolio of CTAs focused on specific gender equity solutions: gender lens investing, combatting GBV and child marriage, the gender-climate nexus, advancing women’s health, improving education, workforce, and economic advancement opportunities for women and girls, empowering full civic and political participation, etc.
  • Help support and/or manage ongoing, existing CTAs through relationship management with commitment-makers, including but not limited to facilitating introductions and connections, identifying opportunities to engage CTA makers and amplify their work through events, social media, and more. Also handles overseeing commitment-maker participation in the CGI community through year-round programming and the CGI Annual Meeting.
  
Manage events and programming to facilitate recruitment and community building and to advance Commitment to Action development: 
  • Support development and execution of relevant Annual Meeting working sessions, including:
    • Developing private roundtable discussions on specific topics to build issue awareness and identify partnership opportunities.
    • Supporting public-facing panels and discussions at CGI or partner events to elevate issues and partners and create the platform for announcing new Commitments to Action.
    • As appropriate, coordinating planning calls for ongoing working groups focused on specific gender equity solutions.
Minimum Qualifications  
What we’re looking for: 
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree with a focus on gender and/or international development preferred 
  • At least 7 years of professional experience, with at least 2 year of managing people and or projects
  • Strong knowledge of international development/social impact landscape, particularly through a gender lens, with insight into key players and trends. Deep commitment to equity both internally and externally. 
  • Excellent project management skills, proactive attitude, and flexibility when dealing with uncertainty or mission changes. 
  • Strong track-record of developing and successfully sustaining cross-sector partnerships through diverse partner engagement strategies.  
  • Experience in fundraising, sponsorship cultivation, or private sector engagement is a plus. 
  • ​​Ability to occasionally work in a varying schedule including nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.​
