Gender-based violence (GBV)
The Position:
The Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) Programme Analyst is responsible for providing quality implementation of the new Making All Spaces Safe: Global Programme to Address TFGBV (MASS) in support of the implementation of the UNFPA GBV Operational Plan, Flourish. This role will support increased coordination across CSOs, academia, Government, digital rights and feminist movements, technologists, and business and tech to ensure a strong foundation movement for ending TFGBV in Kenya, supporting women in all of their diversity, and successfully implementing MASS. This position will support technical and convening support to bring together organizations, civil society, and the private sector/tech companies to better prioritize, understand, prevent, and address the growing scourge of technology-facilitated gender-based violence.
The position will also require a high level of coordination across UNFPA KCO, ROs, HQ and require coordination across the relevant government ministries, UN agencies, and donors within Kenya.
The TFGBV Analyst will report directly to the GBV/Gender Advisor and will work under the overall guidance of the Resident Representative and Deputy Representative.

Job Purpose:
The TFGBV Analyst will support the UNFPA Kenya Country Office in strengthening the response and prevention capacity for Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) and in leveraging technology to enhance GBV responses. The Analyst will contribute to implementing UNFPA KCO’s strategy to address TFGBV under the Making All Spaces Safe: Global Programme to Address TFGBV (MASS). This position will ensure the quality execution of UNFPA’s role in convening a wide range of relevant stakeholders, including policymakers, civil society organizations (CSOs), women’s and digital rights movements, business and tech sectors, technologists, media, academic institutions, international organizations, bilateral partners, community leaders, law enforcement, and survivors, for the prevention and response to TFGBV.
Qualification and Experience:
Advanced university degree (Master’s Degree or Higher) in social work, gender, public health, international development, or other related disciplines.

- Minimum 2 years of increasingly responsible professional work experience in developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating GBV interventions.
- Experience in developing SOPs, guidelines, training materials, assessments, and tools for GBV services, with a particular focus on TFGBV.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of international GBV guidelines and resources relating to TFGBV and Safety by Design.
- Knowledge of Digital Safety & Security: Has knowledge and understanding of online safety best practices, data privacy, and cybersecurity protocols to protect both program staff and beneficiaries.
- Experience in Data Management & Analysis proficiency in handling and analyzing data related to TFGBV incidents, including using relevant software and tools.
- Fluency in English is required.
