Description of the project:
As part of 3ie’s Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) portfolio in India, we are conducting a three-year study that would focus on women’s uptake of digital platforms, a theme of great relevance in the Indian context and policy priorities. Our objective is to document gender gaps in access and usage, analyze design processes, study user journeys, and identify enablers and barriers to women’s engagement with these platforms.

The study proposes to review and conduct an in-depth analysis of two digital platforms for gender intentionality. The project aims to document the design processes and study user journeys and learning by interreacting with various stakeholders such as government officials, primary beneficiaries, i.e., the women, as well as other key stakeholders in the digital space. 3ie seeks a Telugu-speaking consultant research assistant residing in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana to support this program on women’s digital inclusion.
