Responsibilities
Fundraising & Business Development
- Develop, implement, and maintain a detailed fundraising strategy and pipeline as well as a plan to grow and supplement current revenue streams.
- Strategically identify and cultivate potential donors, including foundations, governments, corporations, family offices, and individual wealth holders through landscape mapping, networking and relationship building.
- Build and maintain relationships with previous and potential funding partners and work with them to develop proposals and budgets that align strategic interests between 2X Global and the funder.
Ongoing funder relationships
- Act as day-to-day liaison between our funding partners and the 2X Global team, ensuring effective and productive joint work and maximum partnership impact for the delivery of our strategy.
- Work flexibly and responsively with colleagues to ensure delivery and partnership management are aligned and risks, issues, and change management are managed well. Maintain clear lines of communication between funding partners and the team.
- Direct reporting cycles with funders, acting as lead facilitator on all reporting requirements and working effectively across programmatic and operational teams to gather relevant contributions and ensure timely delivery to funders.
Strategic partnerships
- Leading relationship management with key ecosystem partners, maintaining collaborative relationships and identifying opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships - shared programmes, learning, insights etc.
Measurement Evaluation & Learning
- Develop reports and other related documents to support Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) activities.
- Management 2X Global’s overall MEL function by coordinating data collection, evaluation, and reporting across the various programmatic areas and teams.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a content library that captures 2X Global's full programmatic activity and can be used in various proposals, reports, and internal and external communications.
Skills and Experiences
- This role would be ideal for a candidate with 8+ years of professional experience who has significant previous experience with securing resources through business development, fundraising and partnership management.
- Advanced interpersonal and relationship building skills to create strong and effective working relationships, both internally and externally, ideally within a global working environment.
- Experience in relationship building and managing a portfolio of external partner relationships, with demonstrable ability of identifying and securing funding opportunities and working with potential funding partners to develop proposals and budgets.
- Experience in delivering complex fundraising proposals, such as for government grants, development agencies, RFPs or establishing consortia.
- Experience utilising CRM software. Ideally experience with Salesforce
- Familiarity, foundational understanding and commitment to gender, finance, and/or gender lens investing.
