Background:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the overall supervision of the Gender Seal Programme Specialist, the intern will support the implementation and knowledge management of the Gender Equality Seal Programme.

1. Support Gender Seal Implementation, Knowledge Management and Community-Building
  • Assist in the launch of the Gender Equality Seal Certification programme, including by tracking and monitoring interest, queries, and participation.
  • Support knowledge dissemination, including by systematizing assessment results reports and monitoring databases. 
  • Monitor and assess learning needs and capacity development opportunities related to the Gender Equality Seal through an evidence-based approach.
  • Contribute to the preparation of training materials as part of the Gender Seal learning plan.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting learning and knowledge-sharing events.
  • Support Gender Seal Team with a variety of activities to promote gender integration at UNDP country offices.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining knowledge-sharing spaces on corporate platforms.
  • Support the organization of Community of Practice learning webinars, establishing mentorships, and advice-seeking.
  • Coordinate closely with UNDP’s CoP Community Managers and relevant teams to foster active engagement, facilitate advice-seeking, and strengthen peer mentorship networks across teams.

2. Knowledge Mapping and Optimization:
  • Map gender equality knowledge assets across various corporate platforms, INGOs, and CSOs, categorizing them by topic, knowledge product type, and geographic relevance.
  • Map gender equality good practices across UNDP Country Offices across all gender equality dimensions. 
  • Organize and optimize knowledge assets in SharePoint, Teams, and other relevant platforms.

3. AI Piloting for Gender Seal Assessments:
  • Support the launch and piloting of AI tools to enhance the Gender Equality Seal assessment process.
  • Assist in developing AI-driven approaches for data analysis, assessment tracking, and knowledge synthesis.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to explore AI applications in knowledge management.

 

The intern will gain valuable experience in gender equality programming, corporate certification processes, AI applications for knowledge management, and community engagement within an international development context.



Required Skills and Experience
  • Enrolled or recently finished a Master’s programme in the areas of international development, gender studies, public administration, or related field in a graduate school (second university degree or higher) at the time of application and during the internship;
  • If pursuing their studies in a country where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages, must have completed at least four years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution toward the completion of a degree.   • Professional experience in Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment; required 
  • Proficiency in MS Office set of tools; requireD
