Background:

Key Functions and Accountabilities:
1. Oversee the development of WPHFs strategic partnerships
- Oversee the relationships with key partners; provide substantive technical inputs to WPHF’s efforts to develop new partnerships.
- Oversee partnerships with different UN, civil society and Government entities in order to deliver on WPHF’s mandate.
- Set and monitor annual priorities, goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnerships.
2. Build trust and maintain effective relationships with donors
- Provide substantive technical support to the Head of Secretariat and other senior managers in the preparation of missions, meetings and other consultations with donors, including the preparation of notes, briefs and other materials.
- Act as a direct entry point for government partners, building institutional relationships.
- Provide regular donor intelligence.
3. Promote the submission of high quality and timely reports to donors
- Promote compliance with the terms of grants and agreements.
- Provide substantive technical support to programme managers for the preparation of high quality and timely donor reports.
- Coordinate with the Communications and Advocacy Specialist and the Monitoring and Reporting Specialist for the collection of information and preparation of results-based reports for external constituencies.
4. Coordinate development and implementation of resource mobilization strategy
- In close collaboration with the Head of Secretariat and Senior Management lead the development of a resource mobilisation strategy.
- Support the implementation of the resource mobilisation strategy.
- Monitor the implementation of the resource mobilisation strategy.
- Ensure the maintenance of donor database and donor intelligence on WPSHA issues.
- Oversee Monitor and track regular resource pledges/agreements and funding received.
- Coordinate communication with the Multi-partner Trust Fund Office and UN Women on donor agreements.
5. The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organisation.
Recruitment Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, business management, social sciences, public administration, international relations, communications, women's studies, or a related field is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in resource mobilization, communications/ advocacy, and/or business development is required.
- Experience in WPS and Humanitarian Response is required.
- Experience working with civil society organizations, international institutions and donors is required.
- Experience leading and coaching staff in international settings is required.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is required.
- Fluency in English is required.
