Key Responsibilities
1. Data Collection
- Collect, review, and organize data from project reports, internal documents, and partner submissions.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data prior to entry into MEL systems, including donor and internal reports.
- Ensure maintenance and timely update of MEL databases, trackers, and documentation for easy access and use.
2. Coordination and Operational Support
- Coordinate with ME and program teams, member organizations, external consultants, and stakeholders to plan and execute MEL activities.
- Coordinate and support logistical and administrative arrangements for MEL activities, such as surveys, interviews, evaluations, and learning events.
- Follow up on action items related to MEL activities, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
3. Data Analysis and Reporting
- Assist in cleaning, organizing, and conducting basic analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Support the preparation of internal and external MEL reports and donor submissions.
- Contribute to the development of meeting/session notes, various donor and internal reports, and help draft program learning documents, outcome reports, and visualization of impact, reach, and results.
4. Learning and Knowledge Sharing
- Document key insights, lessons learned, capturing impact, emerging trends, and favorable practices from ongoing projects.
- Support the design of learning documents and knowledge sharing platforms.
- Help finalize and disseminate MEL products such as notes, evaluation, assessment, and outcome reports, and learning summaries.
5. Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Assist in implementing data quality assurance checks.
- Ensure MEL activities adhere to ethical standards and reporting guidelines.
- Support efforts to strengthen MEL capacity across teams through training, mentorship, and resource development.
Profile of the MEL Associate
- 2 years of hands-on experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), supporting the design and implementation of MEL systems in non-profit, development, or humanitarian contexts.
- Experienced in collecting, reviewing, and organizing data from sources such as project and activity reports, partner submissions, and internal systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Experienced in contributing to report writing, strategic planning processes, and endline evaluations, including synthesizing data, assessing strategic frameworks, drafting narrative reports, and providing evidence-based inputs to inform program strategy and decision-making.
- Demonstrates good understanding of project design frameworks, including Theory of Change, Results-Based Management (RBM) systems, and logic models, with experience applying these tools to align MEL processes with program goals and expected outcomes.
- Skilled in using spreadsheets, databases, and digital MEL platforms to maintain data records, track achievements, and support reporting processes.
- Experienced in seamlessly coordinating with internal teams, external consultants, and partners to plan and execute MEL activities, including evaluations, surveys, key interviews, and learning workshops.
- Experienced in proactively documenting lessons learned, best practices, and implementation challenges, supporting teams in applying insights to improve program performance.
- Highly organized and reliable, with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines across projects or assignments.
- Committed to upholding ethical standards in data collection, handling, and reporting, with a deep understanding of confidentiality and data protection practices.
- Strong experience working with LGBTIQ communities in Asia is highly preferred.
