SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
The Southeast Asia Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention Platform is a pivotal initiative supported by a AUD20 million investment from the Australian Government over five years (2024 to 2029). The Platform aims to enhance GBV prevention efforts across Southeast Asia by fostering collaboration among governments, civil society organisations, international bodies, and other stakeholders. We are guided by the principles of being locally driven, evidence-based, inclusive and diverse, survivor-centred and trauma informed, adaptable, collaborative, minimising harm, accessible and innovative. We seek to build capacity, amplify evidence, and innovate in the prevention of GBV.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Based in Bangkok and reporting to the Regional Director, with close technical support and mentorship from the Technical Partner’s team, the Demonstrate lead will be responsible for overseeing the Platform’s Strategy focused on ensuring evidence of what works to prevent GBV in SE Asia is accessible to and utilised by practitioners and policy makers in the region. This will include synthesising existing evidence, supporting and elevating practice-based knowledge generation and galvanising learning among diverse practitioners on what works to prevent GBV in different contexts. The role will include leading on both the documentation and consolidation of learning from previous and existing work in the region, as well as new initiatives and evidence/learning generated through the Platform activities.
