We are seeking a group of dynamic and passionate young individuals, aged 18 to 24, to become Young Experts on Girls Human Rights. As part of this unique opportunity, you will receive specialised training from experienced advisors from the Girls Human Rights Hub (GHRH). Your primary responsibility will be to provide training sessions on girls' rights, empowering girls and young women to understand their rights and advocate for positive change in their communities.
The Pool of GHRH Young Experts will consist of 24 young experts. The group will support Girls Human Rights Hub in providing workshops, trainings and talks on Girls Human Rights. The GHRH Young Experts will receive ongoing supervision and support from the GHRH expert pool. Continuous training and mentorship will be provided to ensure that the group remains well-equipped to deliver impactful workshops and advocate effectively for girls' rights.
As a Young Expert, you get the opportunity to gain experience in an international environment and develop your personal goals for a period of 1 year. At the same time you receive intensive coaching, mentoring and attend training sessions and masterclasses to develop your skills.
This is a voluntary-based role.
Responsibilities
- Participate in training programs conducted by GHRH advisors to gain expertise on various aspects of girls human rights, including legal frameworks, gender equality, education, health, and empowerment.
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate training sessions to diverse groups of girls across different communities and educational settings in the UK and globally online.
- Collaborate with the GHRH team and other Young Experts to continually enhance training materials and approaches based on feedback and evaluation.
- Empower girls and young women by encouraging open discussions, providing mentorship, and inspiring them to take an active role in shaping their own futures.
- Act as ambassadors for girls human rights, raising awareness of the challenges faced by girls and advocating for gender equality.

Youth Experts Program's Requirements
Between 18 to 24 years old
Available for min 10-12 hours a month
Minimum 1 year of involvement with activism
Strong public speaking, research, and organisational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and spoken English
A high level of ethical awareness and integrity
A result-driven attitude with the ability to manage ambiguity
In addition, preferred requirements are as follows:
Knowledge / experience in the areas of girls human rights, innovation or creativity
Knowledge of other UN languages
