Organisational Overview
Global Girl Project (GGP) is an international charity that mobilises marginalised girls within the Majority World (Global South) to become agents of social change, through community development and social action. GGP was founded 10 years ago in the US as a registered 501(c)3 non profit and then became registered in the UK as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in 2019. GGP works globally, within the Majority World, in partnership with well-established organisations and schools to run innovative and impactful leadership programming for girls aged 13 to 18 years.
Key Responsibilities
● Create and implement new strategies to increase engagement with and exposure from third party news and media outlets, podcasts, etc.
● To create opportunities for our team to speak at conferences, events, workshops globally
● To source and onboard High Net Worth Individuals who want to support GGP both financially and through network building.
● Establish relationships with third party media, agencies, influencers in order to create media, publicity and fundraising opportunities
● To research, connect with and set up meetings with possible new corporate partners within each of the regions we work
● Develop and implement social media strategies to increase our followings on each platform
● To create the assets needed for corporate partnership outreach and relationship building, including creatively identifying how we can work with different partners and refining our corporate offering
● To be responsible for the day to day running of our social media and communications output, including our blogs, newsletters and website.To grow our brand awareness through a range of means
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential
● A minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience in the field of communications and partnerships
● A minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience in an external relations, PR, communications, media relations or marketing role
● Experience developing strong, equitable partnerships with funders, supporters, media and companies.
● Experience in outreach to and building relationships with other professionals of influence in the fields of feminist leadership, international development and the charity sector
● Experience developing marketing and external engagement strategies and growing engagement and interest in an organisation or cause
● Experience developing engaging social media content and managing multiple social media channels
● Experience working with corporations and CSR departments
● Experience with marketing and content tools such as Canva and MailChimp
● Understanding of development, racial and gender equality models
● Experience working within a cross-cultural, international context ● Strong computer literacy
● Strong spoken and written English skills
● Strong writing skills, especially in creating social content
