JOB CONTEXT

KEY TASKS
• Advise the Head of Humanitarian Quality Services to ensure that the SRH in Emergencies portfolio is integrated with IPPF’s broader SRHRJ mandate.
• Provide evidence-based technical support to Regional Offices and MAs to build their capacity
 on SRH in Emergencies programs, maximizing opportunities to reach women & girls, youth, people with disabilities, people with diverse SOGIESC, PLHIV, ethnic groups, etc.
• Contribute to delivering the outcomes of IPPF’s new Strategic Framework (Locally Owned: Globally Connected: A Movement for Change), the humanitarian global deliverables and oversee SRH technical assistance in humanitarian programs with a nexus approach.
• Develop and coordinate planning of specific SRH in Emergencies interventions including but not limited to the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) developed by the Inter-Agency Working Group on Reproductive Health in Crises (IAWG).
• Collaborate closely with technical colleagues across the Secretariat to inform SRH in Emergencies strategic, programmatic and technical direction and support development and rollout of technical guidance, tools and other products. This may involve participation in technical workstreams, action teams or taskforces on specific thematic areas and technical priorities.
• Development of SRHiE proposals, program design, work plans, implementation, reporting and M&E and compliance with the requirements and regulations of respective funding streams.
• Support the preparation of reporting documents for each of the different humanitarian projects/programs.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
• Medical/ nursing/ midwifery education, preferably with graduate qualification in Reproductive Health/ Public Health / Social Medicine / equivalent and with significant experience in sexual and reproductive health in humanitarian settings.  • Significant experience in comprehensive SRH, program design, implementation, capacity building and advocacy in humanitarian settings. 
• Significant experience of working with SRHiE including but not limited to MISP but not limited to the implementation of the Minimum Initial Services Package (MISP). 
• Excellent understanding of the associated technical and political issues related to SRH services in humanitarian settings including MNCH, SGBV, HIV/STI, and post-abortion care issues. 
• Understanding of the international humanitarian aid systems, humanitarian architecture, and how to work collaboratively with other sectors that are important for emergency response (WASH, protection, nutrition, etc). 
• Experience in monitoring SRH programs and quality of care in clinics and outreach settings, especially in humanitarian settings. . 
• Fluent in English, other IPPF languages desirable.
