Position Description:
The Gender and Inclusion Senior Officer is responsible for leading the implementation of gender and inclusion guidelines within the organization’s programs in Afghanistan. This role involves promoting gender equity, ensuring the inclusion of marginalized groups, and enhancing community engagement through participatory approaches.

Responsibilities:
In close coordination of the Package Manager (SAK / EU) Projects develop and implement gender and inclusion guidelines aligned with organizational goals and local context.Conduct gender assessments to identify barriers to inclusion and formulate actionable plans.Provide technical support to program teams in integrating gender and inclusion considerations into project design, implementation, and evaluation. Ensure that program activities are responsive to the needs of women, youth, and persons with disabilitiesDesign and deliver training for staff and partners on gender mainstreaming and inclusive practices.Develop indicators and tools for measuring gender and inclusion outcomes, and monitor progress against these indicators.Collect and analyze data to assess program impact on gender equality and inclusion.Represent the organization for gender and inclusion issues internally and with external stakeholders.Collaborate with local NGOs, government agencies, and community groups to promote gender equity initiatives.Prepare regular reports on gender and inclusion activities, challenges, and successes for internal and external stakeholders.Ensure compliance with donor requirements related to gender and inclusion.The holder of this position must strictly follow the organization existing security policies, procedures and daily instructions of the safety personnel.Any other task assign by the supervisor.

Education/ Qualification and Employment Benefits
Education: Master's degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field. Relevant certifications in gender and inclusion frameworks or policies
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience in gender and inclusion roles, preferably in a senior position.Proven experience in project management, including designing, implementing, and evaluating gender-focused programs.Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks related to gender and inclusion.
Other qualifications’ an advantage: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to conduct gender analysis and develop action plans based on findings.Strong understanding of gender equality, social inclusion, and human rights issues.Familiarity with international frameworks and conventions
Languages: English, Pashto and Dari is required.
