ROLE PURPOSE

ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Global focal point for national organisations, global teams and country offices on humanitarian fundraising including relationship building and coordination with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
· Plan, develop, deliver and measure strategic initiatives that will support and expand our flexible fundraising income.
· Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to create visibility and engagement as well as refining structures that facilitate an efficient working process.
· Manage fundraising appeals from start to finish from planning, development, production, distribution, follow up and refinement of packaging.
· Test and refine global fundraising appeals mechanism with stakeholders to ensure swift and informed decision-making and roll out of joint appeals and relevant fundraising packages across the organisation.
· Work with local and global colleagues and teams to support development of global humanitarian fundraising concepts, content and communication ensuring strengthening of Plan’s profile as a key humanitarian actor. This includes training of key staff across the organization.
· Liaise with NO colleagues to identify opportunities for increasing and diversifying the humanitarian fundraising portfolio.
· Work closely with communications, finance and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of fundraising strategies with organisational objectives and branding.
· Ensure effective and sustainable income (FOA) management, distribution, and reporting.
· Identify methods to align Plan’s fundraising efforts with humanitarian programmatic priorities.
· Ensure the organization can track performance and results in humanitarian fundraising over time, including ongoing learnings and refinement of ways of working
· Participate in cross-functional emergency coordination calls and deliver on agreed actions.
· Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
· Suitable university degree within Social Sciences, Marketing or Business or equivalent experience
· Excellent project management skills
· Deep understanding for cutting-edge fundraising strategies and techniques, including testing and refinement
· Demonstrable experience in humanitarian fundraising and communications
· Strong communication, representational and inter-personal skills
· Genuine interest in humanitarian programming
· Demonstrable experience in INGO environment is desirable
· Comfortable with complex working environments and matrixed and networked teams
· Fluent in English
· Ability to develop relationships with disparate stakeholder groups
· Great networking and coordination skills across multi-level stakeholders in a global organization
· Self-propelled and results-driven
· Ability to enthuse multilevel stakeholders and explain complex details about projects and opportunities in an easy and understandable manner
