Overview 

We are seeking an experienced freelancer to deliver key activities for a short term project. The consultant will work closely with our small team to ensure high-quality outputs that centre women’s voices and amplify grassroots activism. The role requires a commitment to feminist principles and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including experts by experience (EbEs) and local campaigners. K

• Commitment: Flexible, according to the needs of the project. 12 days total. • Fee: £350 per day Responsibilities 

The consultant will be responsible for the following activities: 

1. Strengthening Work with AI Experts by Experience Through support from the Smallwood Trust, Fawcett is pleased to be deliver a commission on Feminist AI. This role will work with the Head of Policy, Research and Advocacy to continue this work and mobilise our experts by experience to produce a short report on arising themes and questions about women’s engagement with AI:  
• Collaborating with existing AI experts by experience (EbEs) to progress our work regarding feminist AI. 
• Facilitating focus groups or workshops to ensure meaningful engagement. (per our EbE agreement) 
• Producing a short report summarising insights and themes.  Find out more about our Feminist AI Project, here. 

2. Supporting WASPI Women’s Campaigning Efforts 
• Connect, liaise and work with the WASPI women’s group members to understand key messages and goals that support the development of a campaign plan. 
• Translate learnt information into a comprehensive plan with a goal of engaging and mobilising Fawcett members to campaign on this issue. • Project own the development of campaigning assets for Fawcett members, supported by our comms team and outsourced design function. 

3. Facilitating Local Feminist Campaigning 
• Engage with Fawcett’s local groups to identify their priorities and challenges. 
• Through surveys, forums and feedback, gain insights into the key guidance, tools and knowledge that would best enable groups to meet their campaigning goals.  

• Project own the development of tailored resources, tools, and guidance to strengthen local campaigns. 

Essential Skills and Experience 
• Experience of project management within a nonprofit context. 
• Experience working with grassroots organisations or marginalised communities. 
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Knowledge of feminist principles and commitment to advancing gender equality. 

Desirable Skills and Experience 
• Familiarity with AI ethics or technology policy (preferred for Activity 1). 
• Experience in co-production or participatory approaches to campaigning. 
• Content creation skills to support high quality campaign assets.
