ROLE PURPOSE:This role combines technical leadership and implementation for Child Protection (CP), Child Rights Governance (CRG), Gender Equality & Social Justice (GESJ) and MHPSS in Pakistan. The advisor will use contextual understanding, technical expertise, and relationship-building skills to deliver high-quality, integrated programmes. The focus will include advancing gender equality, addressing violence and discrimination, promoting child rights, and ensuring equitable outcomes for children, especially the most marginalized.The role supports advocacy, strategic partnerships, capacity building, and organizational learning while fostering collaboration with government, partners, and local organizations. It includes responsibilities for both development and humanitarian contexts.The role holder is responsible for Donor Mapping and fund raising with respect CSP targets (accountability against funding targets).


KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
The TE CP, Gender and MHPSS has the following responsibilities:

Technical Leadership
Provide strategic leadership for CP, CRG, Gender and MHPSS, ensuring alignment with Save the Children’s global and national priorities.
Lead the development of gender equality action plans and CP/CRG strategies, grounded in child rights programming and gender-transformative approaches.
Build capacity of staff and partners in CP/CRG and GESJ technical approaches, tools, and practices.

Technical Oversight and Backstopping:
The role holder will be the key focal point for project managers, operational team and partners for quality aspects of program Implementation and will:Support/ lead the implementation of thematic projects
Be responsible to provide project scoping document outlining design aspects of project interventions.
Provide technical backstopping and support for the implementation of on-ground projects, ensuring that the project's objectives and deliverables are achieved in line with Quality Benchmarks

Program Design & Quality
Lead the planning, design, and proposal writing for integrated programs and also lso for potentially standalone initiatives in CP, CRG or MHPSS, ensuring alignment with global best practices.
Develop and contribute quality thematic write ups for the proposals, including Log frames and Budgets, inclusion of best & common approaches
Develop and ensure thematic quality benchmarks, spot checks, and led the improvement plans with the partnersIncorporate gender equality, disability, resilience, and social justice considerations into program design and implementation.


QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in social work, Child Protection, Women and Gender Studies with focus on gender equality in international development, public health, sociology, anthropology or related area, or equivalent experience or related field, or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Master’s degree in Social Work, Gender Studies, Public Health, or related field.7 years of experience in CP/CRG and gender-transformative programming in development and humanitarian contexts.
Proven experience in programme design, monitoring, and evaluation, including intersectional gender and power analyses.
Demonstrated expertise in addressing harmful gender norms, preventing gender-based violence, and empowering children and communities.
Strong knowledge of child protection systems, case management, and integration with education and other sectors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
Commitment to child rights, gender equality, and fostering inclusive environments.
