Key Responsibilities
Purpose
  • To support the strategy for raising income from philanthropy donors.
  • Grow new business by diversifying and growing the philanthropy portfolio. 
  • Engage a wide range of supporters through a diverse portfolio of cultivation and stewardship activities, fundraising strategies and donor management. 
Engagement
  • Work across the fundraising teams to ensure alignment of activities, maximise opportunities for collaboration and ensure excellent use of data and develop cultivation plans for Events attendees and donors.
  • Work with Director Global Corporate Partnerships & UK Philanthropy, and event specialists to support engagement activity within the team where appropriate/needed, to strengthen the connections between events and philanthropy and corporate income streams. 

Delivery
Relationship Development
  • Work with the Director Global Corporate Partnerships & UK Philanthropy to manage our portfolio of MDs including the Leadership Circle, supporting on the administration, communications, and relationship management for these supporters.
  • Work with the Philanthropy & Special Events Manager and Director Global Corporate Partnerships & UK Philanthropy to deliver fundraising products (including the WfWI Leadership Circle), and steward and develop the supporters within those programmes. 

Finance and Administrative Management
  • Support the Director Global Corporate Partnerships & UK Philanthropy on the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of our philanthropy and events portfolio to agreed targets, objectives and KPIs.
  • Proactively manage budgets for the portfolio and monitor appropriately to meet targets and objectives. 

Strategy
  • Develop appropriate plans to maximise long-term benefits against our strategic aims and objectives.
  • Ensure that you are up to date and well informed on sector developments and competitor activity to ensure our strategies are cutting edge and innovative, as well as being sector best practice and within the specific legal framework of events and philanthropic partnerships.

Other
  • Be responsible for personal learning and development and participate in supervision, training, and meetings as required.

  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as required. 

Talent and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and oral/public speaking to enthuse and motivate, and compose/edit/proof correspondence and documents. 
  • Exceptional organisational skills. The ability to prioritise with impressive attention to detail and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • An understanding of and experience of building a donor pipeline within a charitable organisation.
  • Knowledge of the current philanthropy and High Net Worth Individual landscape and insight into future trends and how charities are catering to this landscape.
  • Knowledge of different forms of philanthropic motivations, giving mechanisms and fundraising strategies.
  • Proven ability to provide excellent customer service donor care and relationship management with multiple stakeholders.
