Tender for the Website Services
Gender Action for Peace and Security (GAPS) is issuing this call for tender to select its supplier/s for the service specified above. Gender Action for Peace and Security (GAPS) is the UK’s Women, Peace and Security civil society network. We are a membership organisation of 20 multi-mandate international NGOs, peacebuilding organisations, women’s rights organisations and human rights organisations. We were founded to progress the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. Our role is to promote, and hold the UK government to account on, its international commitments to women and girls in conflict areas worldwide. GAPS achieves this by working with GAPS members and global partners.
This tender is for a consultancy taking place from March 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter) for a 6-month contract length, with ad-hoc billable support outside of this period, as required. The Consultant is expected to deliver the following:
Website development:
• Wireframes and mockups for website. Full website design, including aesthetic design directions within the existing organisational brand/colour palette, is expected.
• A functional dynamic website which is responsive, compatible and easily accessible to common devices and browsers (ie. Desktops, mobiles and other handheld devices, as well 1 of 4 as Chrome, Safari and Firefox browsers). This will include clear pathways to our diverse policy outputs; thematic areas; and members.
• Intergrated landing page specific to our largest programme, with links to connect to our programmatic partners.
• Revamped website which will involve transferring all the materials on the current GAPS website with updated design layout and enhanced themes and functions.
• Implement a CMS (Content Management System) that allows easy addition, editing and deletion of content by authorised GAPS staff members.
• Streamline access to GAPS social media platforms, displaying the most recent social media posts, including integrated sign-up page for our newsletter and option to turn on notifications of Spotify/Apple Music podcast release.
• Dedicated page for the “Mind the GAPS” podcast, including episode summaries, audio players and links to platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Optimize for SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) to enhance discoverability of podcast episodes.
• Ongoing maintenance and technical support for the GAPS website.
Design Support
• Develop a consistent, adaptable and accessible branding collateral to support GAPS’s website, social media presence and written outputs that aligns with and is consistent with the updated website. This should include brand/identity guidelines, such as font.
• Social media branding for X and LinkedIn posts. GAPS currently uses Canva for quote cards and information posters.
• Templates for internal documents and external publications, including policy briefings and larger reports. GAPS currently uses Canva and Word.
• Design for physical pull-down banner and other branding elements for external conferences/networking, including business cards. GAPS currently does not have a banner.
