ROLE PURPOSE
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Global Advocacy Strategy support:
· Support the GLAS Manager in working with the different clusters within the PACE Team to ensure that there is coordination, knowledge management and that the work is contributing to the GLAS.
· Support the GLAS Manager in facilitating the drafting, monitoring, and updating of the Annual Global Influencing Ambition.
· Provide support in coordinating with other units such as Research, Communications, etc. in relation to the implementation of the GLAS and the GIA.


Global Campaigning support:
· Provide campaign support, delivering tasks delegated by the Global Lead for Campaigns & Mobilisation, Policy & Advocacy Lead
· Support the delivery of campaign events, initiatives, and workshops, including with the Global Young Influencer Group. This will include planning, logistics, facilitation support, content creation and follow up actions
· Coordinate the Global Campaigns Working Group, including maintaining the database, running monthly calls, supporting internal communications.

Cross-cutting functions:
· Facilitate the process of contracting external suppliers and consultants, including translators and interpreters. This includes coordinating TORs and legal processes
· Liaise with partners and subcontractors on financial and contractual matters, and project accountant/ finance colleagues to manage payments
· Monitor invoicing schedules, invoice administration, and check the accuracy and completeness of expenditure reports



TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Essential
· Experience in a similar or relevant role, in the charity, NGO or development sectors, or relevant agency or private sector company
· Knowledge and some experience of supporting and/or undertaking campaigning, advocacy and activism, and/or a willingness and openness to continue deepening skills in this area
· Fluency in English, both written and oral
· Experience of project management and implementation support, including budget support
· Strong organisational, planning, process and administrative skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, and a strong sense of creativity
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent team collaboration, able to work in a flexible and supportive way
· Strong administration skills including skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Teams)
· Ability to manage a varied workload effectively, including prioritizing competing demands, maintaining high levels of accuracy, attention to detail and output
· Commitment to or passion for meaningful and inclusive youth participation, feminist campaigning and activism, gender equality, anti-racism and girls’ rights
· A proactive attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn, and agile way of working
