Role Deliverables
  1. Provide technical and programmatic leadership and guidance on issues related to expanding access to comprehensive abortion care and contraception, and clinical governance in Member Associations and Collaborative Partners. 
  2. -Lead the implementation of IPPF’s abortion programme, including coordination of the Together for Abortion Care group, in collaboration with other teams across the Secretariat including integration with wider SRH programming, innovations in service delivery and client-centred care, stigma-reduction, humanitarian, commodity security and advocacy initiatives. 
  3. -Lead the development and design of abortion-related projects, providing technical input into country, regional and global level project documents. 
  4. Provide technical leadership and oversight of the IPPF Global Abortion Commodities Database (www.MedAb.org) to ensure the website is up-to-date and reflective of the global medical abortion landscape. 
  5. Maintain and/or establish partnerships with abortion social movements that are working to expand abortion access. 
  6. Lead the preparation of reports on IPPF’s abortion programme, including the preparation of donor reports as required, and ensuring it meets donor requirements. 
  7. Identify new funding opportunities and provide technical and programmatic input into bid proposals as necessary, to secure funding for IPPF’s abortion programme. 
  8. Provide technical input into research on abortion care, including conducting data analysis and preparing evidence suitable for a wide range of audiences including technical staff, donors, media and others. 
  9. Lead the development of technical guidance and resources on abortion care, and ensure knowledge and capacity sharing within IPPF so that best practice is documented and shared across the Federation and with external audiences. 
  10. Design, facilitate, and deliver meetings and workshops providing abortion-related content for both internal and external participants at national, regional, and international levels. 
  11. Represent IPPF externally and deliver presentations at regional and international meetings and conferences, on collaborative working groups on abortion care, and with partner organizations. Manage the relationship with donors as required, providing regular updates, and responding to queries on the performance of the programme. 
  12. Undertake other reasonable duties as may be requested from time to time.
