Purpose of the Role
The gender and climate programme at Asar empowers women and gender diverse leaders particularly from marginalised communities to drive contextual climate solutions by building leadership, shifting power and reshaping narratives. At the core of our work is an interconnected network of partners that are collectively creating and driving the agenda for gender just climate action in India. The network coordinator will closely work with the members of the gender and climate network to support value based collaborative action and impact.  KEY

ACCOUNTABILITIES 
Strategy & Planning
• Support the programme team in developing and executing strategies and plans that contribute to the vision and mission of the larger gender and climate network. 
• Support the programme and communications teams in developing and executing communications and engagement strategies with the members of the gender and climate network.
• Support the team in expanding the reach and areas of practice of the programme. 

Network Coordination and Partnerships
• Assess the planning, knowledge and resource needs of the gender and climate network to collectively and effectively work together
• Manage relationships with different partners to ensure there is inclusion and collaboration. 
• Coordinate the functioning of the gender and climate network so that there is collaboration, implementation and reflection. 
• Design learning and sharing experiences for the gender and climate network which could will also include modules, knowledge products. 
• Document best practices for learning, harvesting insights and replication across the gender and climate network and beyond. 
• Build new partnerships with relevant stakeholders and groups to support the gender and climate programme and the network. 

Operations
• Track the development of the gender and climate network report back to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess the collective impact of the network and document the same.
• Provide administrative and logistical support in organising collective spaces for the gender and climate network

Qualifications
• We are looking for someone with atleast 6-8 years of work experience who is passionate about facilitating and supporting diverse networks working on intersectional issues and has: 
• Experience of coordinating multiple stakeholders as part of a collective, initiative or network.  
• Experience in designing innovative and transformational learning experiences for diverse communities. 
• Experience in creatively and ethically documenting perspectives and narratives of community members and other stakeholders.  
• Deep interest in working on intersectional gender issues or either has experience in bringing this perspective to their work.  
• A good communicator with a skill of building relationships with different and diverse communities.  
• Experience of working in the area of social and environmental justice would be an advantage for this role.
