About the Role
The Project Coordinator will be the second staff position at Women in Urbanism Canada (WIUC), working under the guidance and supervision of the Executive Director, with support from the Board of Directors. The focus will be to advance existing organization activities and support the implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures.

The Project Coordinator will be the second staff position at Women in Urbanism Canada (WIUC), working under the guidance and supervision of the Executive Director, with support from the Board of Directors. Responsibilities
Administration
- Manage organization email accounts, documents, and folders
- Maintain current records of By-Laws, Policies, Minutes, etc.,
Manage accounts, passwords, and renewals
Governance
- Support Board of Directors administration
Administer the membership program, including coordination of AGMs/SGMs
Recruit, onboard, and support volunteers
Work with external consultants (e.g., EDI consultant, Web/Graphic Designer, Capacity Building consultant, Translator, Bookkeeper, etc.)
Finances
- Support funding proposals and grant applications
Communications
- Administer the organization website, including blog development, analytics tracking, and associated plug-ins
- Develop monthly and quarterly newsletters
Manage social media channels and create engaging content
Respond to partnership and outreach inquiries
Qualifications & Skills
- University and/or college degrees in relevant area of study (e.g., gender studies, urban planning, design) or equivalent experience
- 2+ years in a comparable project coordination role in the non-profit sector or equivalent experience
Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
Knowledge of intersectional feminism and urban design principles
Governance skills related to board and membership coordination
Fund development skills related to grant writing, fundraising, and revenue generation
Communications skills related to website management, social media, emails, presentations, etc.
Assets
- Fluent in multiple languages
- JEDIIA applicable experience
Familiarity with Squarespace, Google Suite, Zoom, and other digital tools
Graphic design skills
Photography and videography skills
