Project Background

The purpose of the Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector Activity (Pro-Integrity) is to reduce corruption incidence and risks to build back a better Ukraine. The Pro-Integrity Activity (also referred heretofore as the Activity) will work to achieve this purpose by addressing three independent objectives:

 KEy Duties & Responsibilities

  • In close collaboration with GESI Advisor and COP/DCOP ensure that all Pro-Integrity project activities intentionally incorporate Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) considerations.
  • Build the capacity of project staff to identify GESI-related needs and opportunities, as well as implement and monitor GESI-focused interventions.
  • Collaborate with the COP, DCOP, and other leadership to implement strategies guiding inclusion efforts, ensuring periodic review and adaptation based on lessons learned.
  • Assist in the development of research questions and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) indicators that account for gender, socioeconomic, and age-specific conditions in the project’s implementation contexts.
  • Coordinate with MEL and communications teams to monitor, measure, and report on GESI-related activities and impacts within the Pro-Integrity project.
  • Participate in annual portfolio reviews, contributing to adaptive management by assessing GESI impacts and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Support the Pro-Integrity team, subcontractors, and grantees in identifying opportunities to integrate GESI considerations into tools, strategies, and processes to enhance social inclusion outcomes.
  • Collaborate with grantees to develop and refine GESI plans that outline specific mechanisms for including youth, women, and marginalized groups in grant activities.
  • Contribute to project reporting, work planning, and collaboration, learning, and adaptation (CLA) initiatives by integrating GESI perspectives.
  • Work with the communications team to develop materials that highlight new GESI resources, promote inclusion efforts, share lessons learned, and showcase success stories.
 Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study, such as gender, sociology, or international development required (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant professional experience, including substantive prior experience conducting analyses, assessments, and research and designing, implementing, and managing GESI-related strategies, plans, and/or activities, ideally in the context of donor-funded development programs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing GESI-related indicators and supporting related MEL and CLA activities, including demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Prior experience working on USAID-, FCDO-, or other international donor-funded development programs strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, analytical, and writing capacities. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint, required; additional demonstrated proficiency in the use of graphic arts/design, data visualization, and/or other applications relevant for the development of communications products preferred. 
  • Fluency in Ukrainian with excellent oral and written communications skills required; professional proficiency reading, writing, and speaking English strongly preferred.
