About WCoZ
Women's Coalition of Zimbabwe (WCoZ) is a network of women's rights champions and women's rights organisations in Zimbabwe with national structures established in 1999. WCoZ brings women from diverse backgrounds to advocate for the attainment and enjoyment of their rights and ensure that the women and girls empowerment agenda remains central to the national agenda.
Background of the Consultancy
The Women's Coalition of Zimbabwe (WCoZ) seeks a consultant to develop a comprehensive Wellness and Self.
Care Policy and Strategy. As a champion of women's rights and empowerment, WCoZ recognizes the need to promote the holistic well-being of its members, state, and volunteers. Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID. 19 pandemic and the demanding nature of their work, WCo2 aims to equip women with resources and tools to maintain a healthy work-life balance, manage stress, and prevent burnout. The proposed policy and strategy will provide a framework to support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the WCoZ, fostering a sustainable and empowered workforce dedicated to dining transformative change,
Tasks under the Consultancy
In carrying out this work, reporting to the National Coordinator and under the supervision of the Project team, the consultant shall:
• Submit a detailed inception report outlining the consultant's understanding of the assignment and the approach to be employed and a needs assessment report summarizing the key findings from the consultations
Draft Wellness and Self-care Policy/Strategy for WCoZ
Presentation of Wellness and Self Care Policy/Strategy to WCoZ membership and Secretaria!
Final Wellness and Self-care Policy/Strategy for WCoZ, incorporating feedback from Deliverables:
The Consultancy will be responsible for the following deliverables:
Submission of Inception report outlining the detailed work plan and methodology
Submission of Needs assessment report summarizing the key findings from the consultations Draft Wellness and Self-care Policy/Strategy for WCoZ
Final Wellness and Self-care Policy/Strategy incorporating feedback from WCoZ leadership and secretariat.

To be discussed with the successful candidate.
Expected Qualifications and Experience of the Consultant
The Consultant MUST be a feminist, possessing a Masters* degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies or any relevant fields.
• Proven experience working with women's rights networks, and also developing organizational wellness and self-care policies/strategies
Expertise in conducting needs assessments, facilitating stakeholder consultations and designing capacity-building programs
• Strong knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in employee well-being and resilience
• At least 1 recent sample is similar to that called for in this SOW for which the applicant was a lead author.
