Gender-based violence (GBV)
We are seeking a freelance GBVH Specialists to collaborate with us on a capacity development project centered on Gender-Based Violence and Harassment (GBVH) for an international client in the energy sector. This role may involve developing local procedures, leading workshops, and facilitating awareness seminars following corporate policy. As the contract leadership, we will offer strategic guidance, consultancy support, training content, and necessary tools to drive the process structurally and align with corporate strategy.

We are specifically looking for local specialists in the following countries/regions:
Africa: Egypt, Morocco, South Africa
Middle East: Jordan, Bahrain, UAE, Oman
Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan Saudi Arabia, China, Indonesia

Minimum Requirements:

- University degree in social sciences or a relevant discipline
- At least 5 years of professional experience addressing gender-based violence and harassment in workplaces and communities, particularly within the private sector, multilateral organizations, or CSOs/NGOs
- Strong knowledge of global standards and ethical guidelines for the prevention and response to GBVH and familiarity with key standards and resources in development settings
- Understanding of emerging issues in diversity and inclusion, as well as broader gender issues, including best practices for women’s employment in the private sector
- Experience working in emerging markets, ideally in fragile and conflict-affected environments
- Additional experience in community engagement, grievance mechanisms, or mediation/negotiation is a plus
- Fluency in English, with the ability to clearly and confidently articulate ideas, address issues, and propose solutions. For specific regions, fluency in the local language is also required.
