ABOUT GENDERPRO
The Global Women’s Institute (GWI) at the George Washington University is a university-wide initiative to advance gender equality through research, education and action to bring about change in the lives of women and girls worldwide. In 2019, with funding and support from UNICEF, GWI created and launched the GenderPro Programme which is a capacity building effort to strengthen the gender skills and knowledge of international development and humanitarian professionals. The programme consists of the GenderPro Course, Credential and Training Centre.
CONSULTANCY OBJECTIVES
Under this contract, GWI will train immunisation practitioners on gender and immunisation. These terms of reference are specifically for a GenderPro Consultant who will bring their regional experience to bear by supplementing existing case studies for the live sessions with immunisation-applicable case studies, and providing immunisation-applicable readings, videos and other materials as requested by course participants.
SCOPE OF WORK
(Consultant) will lead one section of the GenderPro long course and six sections of the short course between November 2024 and June 2025. Specifically, they will: Course Facilitation in French
• Receive technical support and guidance from GWI in preparation for teaching and evaluating the Courses, including attending meetings.
• Review long course online content for each module (six total) in preparation to teach the six related online live sessions.
• Review short course online content for each module (three total) in preparation to teach the three related online live sessions.
• Lead all live sessions including course orientation, ALP preparation and two ALP presentations throughout the 16-week online long course.
• Lead all four live sessions including orientation and three modules throughout the 4week online short course.
• Track participant attendance and participation in both long and short courses.
• Respond to participants’ questions and be available to guide them on their Action Learning Projects (ALP) pertaining to the long course.
• Grade participant assignments, including the final ALP paper of the long course.
• Communicate regularly with participants about course material and deadlines, and provide immunisation-applicable readings, videos and other materials as requested by participants.
