POSITION SUMMARY

Equality Now is seeking a highly qualified Project Coordinator to help to maintain organization’s effectiveness in managing our campaigns/projects through creating timetables, scheduling, grant/campaign planning, budgeting grant and program implementation and tracking. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in ensuring efficient administration of calendars, timelines, budgets, work plans, results frames, M&E and impact tracking data, donor compliance requirements, documentation, and data management.



Objectives of this role 


Support the effective and efficient management of campaigns throughout the project lifecycle. the project Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Support project activities by identifying schedules, scopes, and budget estimations and communicating these to program team members.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Support efficient development and implementation of grants by tracking work plans, budgets, spending and progress.
  • Work closely with Campaign and Global Thematic Leads, the Global Budgeting and Reporting Manager, and the Global Grants and Compliance Officer to manage day-to-day project budgets.
  • Plan and monitor budget progress against work plans in compliance with donor contracts and EN procedures.
  • Collaborate with finance staff to plan and monitor grant expenditures and prepare grant-specific procurement plans
  • Set up and analyze burn rate reports and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Ensure the preparation of financial reports in line with narrative reports as per grant agreements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project expenditures and progress changes.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in project management methods, tools, software, & processes
  • Ability to multitask, manage time & resources effectively across a portfolio of ongoing efforts with attention to detail and ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong leadership, management & comms skills and problem solving capabilities
  • Proactively identifies & mitigates challenges and risks
  • Adaptable & flexible to changing needs / requirements
  • Four or more years of project administration and finance  proven  experience, particularly with projects funded by bilateral and multilateral donors
  • Experience and confidence in using web technologies and software platforms i.e. Competency in accounting and budget management, grants and compliance management platforms
  • Experience and confidence in using digital project management tools 
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
  • Proven success working with all levels of management of an organization
  • Demonstrable clear written, visual  and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communication and interact with multicultural and multi level actors
  • Excellent presentation skills
