Gender-based violence (GBV) Generic (e.g. 'gender focal point' role
The Content Producer is an exciting new key, creative role, instrumental in growing brand awareness of The Equality Institute (EQI), deepening engagement with EQI's communities, and driving social impact, aligned with EQI's strategic objectives.

This role will conceptualise, produce and deliver innovative multi-channel content that is evidence-based, engaging, accessible, inclusive and design-forward.

The successful candidate is an exceptional writer, producer and conceptual thinker, with the creative expertise to deliver on a broad range of content, targeted to diverse audiences, including social media, video, visual and written content and audio (podcasts).

A creative storyteller, who’s not afraid to push the boundaries, you’re someone who is connected to feminist activists and grassroots organisations on the ground and is committed to building partnerships, working collaboratively, driving positive social change and elevating EQI’s brand and outputs to achieve greater impact.

Who you are (essential):

  • You are someone who gained a tertiary degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field/s.
  • You have at least five years’ demonstrated experience in the fields of marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent fields.
  • You’re someone who loves to come up with creative solutions to problems and are always generating innovative ideas to achieve impact.
  • You’re an incredible storyteller love and you know how to ask the right questions to be able to devise stories that meet people where they’re at.
  • You are organised and love to plan, making you fantastic at executing successful multi-channel campaigns and managing projects from start to finish.
  • You have demonstrated your ability to oversee content production from conception to implementation, and have experience across content management systems (CMS) and a broad range of communications channels.
  • You’re an excellent writer, across both short-form and long-form copy, and you understand the power of brand. You know how to direct creative and craft messaging that gets results.
  • You are aligned and committed to the principles of intersectional feminism and have a passion for advancing gender equality - just like us! You have a keen interest in gender and gender-based violence violence prevention, women’s rights and empowerment, and/or feminist advocacy.
  • You are a people person, which makes you an excellent communicator, leader and manager.
  • Your communication skills are highly developed, clear and most importantly inclusive.
