About CMI! 
Count Me In! (CMI!) is a unique consortium of movement-support organisations and feminist funds that strengthens movements led by women and girls, and non-binary, gender non-confirming, trans and intersex people for a gender-equal and just world.  

Position Overview   
CMI! is seeking a Partnerships Lead with excellent donor engagement, partnership building and fundraising experience to lead our ambitious goal of raising US $30-50M in the next three years. This funding is critical for CMI! to continue to exist, sustain results and to expand the reach and scope of our work from 2026 onward.  
The ideal candidate  must have extensive experience securing major grants from institutional funders, especially bilaterals, multilateral and large foundations. They  e must demonstrate agility, creativity, and a commitment to building transformative relationships. Experience in representing and fundraising for a consortium, along with the ability to skillfully navigate and negotiate partner dynamics and relationships, is essential    
The CMI!Partnerships Lead will report to the CMI! Programme Coordinator and work closely with the CMI! Fundraising Working Group, consisting of representatives from each member organisation, and maintain an open line of communication with the Executive Directors.  

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • Mobilise resources for the CMI! Programme through the development of partnerships with funders and donors (donor outreach and engagement, coordinate grant proposal development) 
  • Raise CMI!’s profile among funders and other relevant stakeholders 
  • Steward CMI-specific donor relationships, including reporting 
Resource Mobilisation 
  • Develop  a resource mobilisation plan for CMI! including a list of prospective donors and cultivation plan for each 
  • Write and submit new funding proposals for CMI! 
  • Lead and facilitate the CMI! Fundraising working group   
  • Create and manage processes and systems for collective donor management, moves management calendar, and shared repository of content 
Raise CMI!’s profile 
  • Identify and attend key convenings to network and build CMI!’s profile among funders 
  • Raise CMI!’s profile and case for support in all communications channels, in collaboration with CMI!’s Senior Communications Officer where agreed 
Stewardship 
  • Manage CMI! grants and reporting requirements, working with the Consortium members. 
  • Steward CMI-specific donor relationships, including reporting.  


QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience and proven track record in fundraising, nonprofit development, or resource mobilisation, in particular securing large, multi-year grants for complex, consortium-led  programmes 
  • Knowledge and familiarity with fundraising and grant-seeking processes and procedures 
  • Subject expertise and past activism and/or lived experience related to LGBTQI rights, environmental and climate justice, racial justice, sex workers’ rights or disability justice preferred 
  • Detailed knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications for example Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English and an ability to distill complex and detailed information into an accessible and approachable writing and verbal communication style 
  • Practical expertise in project management and stakeholder engagement 
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of feminist and social justice fundraising principles, practices and frameworks. 
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
