Position Overview
The Senior HR Manager is a new role at Together for Girls. Due to rapid growth, the need to establish dedicated internal HR capacity has become increasingly necessary.
This position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The Senior HR Manager will be responsible for managing the daily HR operations by providing a full range of support to a global employee base of 23 currently and growing. Oversight and leadership is required for performance management, recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, policies and procedures, among others. In addition, the Sr. HR Manager will also work in conjunction with the COO to develop and/or roll out any special projects that involve an HR component as part of a larger organizational process.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future recruitment, retention, engagement, and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Manages the staff lifecycle from recruitment, hiring (including through EORs), and on-boarding to off-boarding.
  • Supports the identification, development, and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Supports the development and implementation of performance review and improvement processes to encourage a culture of feedback.
  • Supports operationalizing and maintaining organizational values of agility, collaboration, courage, empathy and respect to facilitate a positive work environment and organization culture.
  • Leads administrative functions of the Human Resources department, including but not limited to the maintenance of personnel documentation, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Develops staff training materials to ensure adherence to systems and processes.
  • Leads compensation and benefits planning, including the roll out of a new compensation philosophy.
  • Responsible for People Operations, including conflict resolution and staff grievances.
  • Partners with the COO to lead on all legal matters pertaining to Human Resources, including staff and consultant termination.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Required
  • A minimum of three years of human resources management experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or comparable HR work experience.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certifications highly desired.
