The Gender Health Center (GHC) is a Trans and BIPOC/led nonprofit organization located in Sacramento, CA. The GHC is dedicated to ending the pathologization of Trans people and creating more equitable access to healthcare and resources through our programs, training, and direct services that prioritize the wellness and joy of Queer, Transgender, Black, Indigenous, People of Color (QTBIPOC). 

Overview of Position

The general and specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

● Provide psychotherapy and counseling to Los Rios students and serve as a referral source for students.
● Document all relevant encounters, progress notes, assessments, and referrals.
● Work closely with district Health & Wellness services to understand campus and student needs for mental health services and provision of care.
● Provide marketing materials and flyers for outreach to LRCCD students.
● Maintain a referral pathway specific for LRCCD students. 
● Maintain own clinic records and report demographic data on a monthly basis; number of unduplicated student services provided, duplicated services, age, ethnicity, gender identity, and reason for care/diagnosis.
● Attend Los Rios and/or GHC staff meetings or other events as needed.
● Provide training/workshops/presentations to the greater Los Rios district community. 
● As needed, provide Los Rios students with crisis intervention and safety assessment. 
● Support facilitating brave space dialogue when needed. 
● Report to Gender Health Center’s Director of Mental Health. 
● Provide status updates to the Director of Mental Health.
● Attend weekly supervision at the Gender Health Center (Fridays from 1-3pm).
● Submit weekly time logs to the Director of Mental Health accounting for all time spent on Los Rios matters.
● Comply with HIPAA, as well as Los Rios and GHC policies and procedures.
● Maintain registration with BBS in good standing.
● Any remaining hours will be spent providing services to GHC community members and documenting services provided.
● Must have reliable and consistent transportation as the position requires frequent travel between GHC and Los Rios District community colleges. 

Desired Qualifications 
● ASW or AMFT, or other relevant associate licensed clinician registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. 
● A person of trans or queer experience. 
● 1+ years of experience providing clinical counseling to trans and queer people. 
● Familiarity with anti-oppressive and trauma-informed frameworks is an asset. 
● Experience with Narrative Therapy and Feedback-Informed Treatment is an asset.
