The Trevor Project) is hiring contracted On Call Consults for our suicide prevention hotlines. If you are interested, please read below! 
 
For those who don't know, The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people. We are a non-profit that provides 24/7 life-saving support via phone, text, and chat. We also operate the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth and run innovative research, education, and advocacy programs.

Our On Call Consults (OCCs) are available by phone for crisis services staff to consult on high and imminent risk situations and approve active interventions. OCCs are required to complete mandatory training and attend meetings once a quarter, as needed. OCCs are required to have an advanced degree in a mental health field and/or a valid medical/social work/psychology (or equivalent) license. Someone with an LLC or equivalent is preferred. We are looking for a collaborative individual who has experience in crisis situations and is committed to LGBTQ+ competency. 

Our current opening in the schedule is as follows: 
- Sunday to Thursday: 6:30pm-11:00pm PT /9:30pm-2:00am ET
- Friday and Saturday: 2:30pm-11:00pm PT / 5:30pm-2:00am ET
- Shift rotation: Every 4 weeks, which equates to about one week a month being on call. 
- Our other external OCCs are available for shift swaps when needed, providing flexibility to accommodate schedules when necessary. 
- First Shift: The first shift opening will be in August, with the exact date to be determined.
