Since 1988, WHISE has been at the forefront of women's health advocacy in Victoria. We're not just an organization; we're a movement dedicated to empowering women across 10 local government areas, from South Melbourne to the Mornington Peninsula.

About the Project
Training for Respect aims to build a sustainable and empowering infrastructure within Victorian Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to prevent workplace gendered violence, including sexual harassment. This 18-month initiative, supported by WorkSafe’s WorkWell Respect Fund, focuses on enhancing sector-wide capacity, capability, and confidence, promoting positive and respectful workplace cultures.

Key Responsibilities
Promote and Implement: Champion the Training for Respect project across the Victorian TAFE sector, driving effective delivery and comprehensive evaluation of training programs.
Develop and Deliver Training: Contribute to the creation and delivery of online modules and in-person sessions that build foundational knowledge and strengthen leadership skills to address gender-based violence.
Campaign and Communication: Play a key role in designing and executing industry-wide campaigns that promote respect, well-being, and effective referral pathways for individuals affected by gendered violence.
Engage Stakeholders: Foster and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, participating actively in governance and advisory committees.
Support and Evaluation: Provide valuable input into project resources, reports, and promotional materials, while engaging in ongoing professional development activities.

Key Selection Criteria
Education: A tertiary degree in Human Resources, Adult Education and Training, or a related discipline, or substantial experience in the adult education sector.
Experience: Demonstrated success in engaging with industry on complex issues, managing projects, and delivering impactful training programs.
Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities.
Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Victorian Adult Education and Training sector, particularly TAFE settings, and a commitment to gender equality and workplace violence prevention.
Desirable Criteria
Familiarity with the Our Watch Respect and Equality in TAFE framework, the Victorian Gender Equality Act 2020, and related programs.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Current Victorian driver’s licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
