ABOUT IGNITA
The work of Ignita includes pooled funding mechanisms, fiscal sponsorships, shared governance approaches, participatory grantmaking and learning communities. The team oversees a range of partnerships with organisations fiscally hosted at Women Win. We champion transformative philanthropy by disrupting the philanthropic sector to acknowledge and challenge unequal power structures. We strengthen movements and network building by fostering trust-based connections and collaborations that drive meaningful and collective change.


CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Programme Management

  • Lead on the design and evolution of a range of programmes and fiscal sponsorship partnerships, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to establish governance, coordination, reporting and learning.
  • Deliver on streamlined onboarding processes for new fiscal sponsorship partners, including negotiation of fiscal sponsorship offerings and fees.
  • Manage the relationship with several fiscal sponsorship partners, accompanying them throughout the different phases of the fiscal sponsorship, including ensuring legal and fiscal compliance requirements are met.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

  • Engage in networking and maintain relationships within feminist and philanthropic ecosystems to stay current on trends and standards related to Ignita’s work.
  • Align with the Influence Team to identify new opportunities and support the acquisition process for new Ignita projects.
  • Support proposal writing and design including maintaining resource mobilisation systems and documentation for Ignita and fiscal sponsorship partners. 

Ignita Strategy

  • Participate in and support the development of the Ignita strategy in line with WW values and priorities.
  • Research and understand the funding landscape, trends and ecosystem of Ignita to contribute to the strategic direction of the brand.
  • Ensure a collaborative approach to the Ignita strategy through teamwork and connecting with involved stakeholders.

Learning Mindset & Team Support

  • Manage and support Ignita team members in their day-to-day work, ensuring collaboration between Ignita and FinOps teams, external funders and partners.
  • Ensure technical excellence across the team and in own portfolio of work including overseeing programme budgets and legal/contractual requirements.
  • Encourage a learning mindset in others by sharing innovations, experimenting with new ways of doing things, and enabling continuous feedback loops.


Miscellaneous

  • Participation in various Special Project teams and other ongoing work of Women Win as required.
  • Represent WW and the Ignita brand externally as needed.

ABOUT YOU


Education:
at least a university degree in a relevant field e.g. Gender, International Development, Human Rights, Business Administration etc.


Experience:
In addition to Manager level competencies (as described above), the candidate should have:

  • 6 – 10 years work experience in philanthropy, international development, women’s rights and/or international business;
  • A feminist mindset including a solid understanding of international grassroots organisations and the feminist movement;
  • Financial management acumen is essential and direct experience with fiscal sponsorship is preferred.
  • Experience in grantmaking and programme design;
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures;
  • Excellent project management skills with experience in designing work plans, prioritisation and management of multiple competing deadlines and deliverables.
  • Experience working remotely and with a remotely based team.
