CARE International Secretariat is looking for an intern to support the advocacy of the organisation at the EU level, by contributing to research and analysis of EU policies related to development, humanitarian aid, and external action.
Job Location: Brussels, Belgium
Key responsibilities: The post-holder will monitor EU policy developments, attend relevant events, and prepare briefings to support CARE's advocacy efforts. This role involves coordinating with CARE's European members, organizing advocacy events, and managing internal communications such as the 'CARE EU Update' newsletter. The position also includes co-managing CARE's EU Twitter account and supporting the wider CI Secretariat advocacy team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: The candidate should have or be in the process of obtaining a Master’s degree in a relevant field of studies (e.g. social sciences, such as political science, international relations, development or gender studies)
- Languages: Strong oral and written English, good knowledge of French and/or other languages is an asset.
