Responsibilities and Duties:
● Coordinate own workload in collaboration with the line managers to deliver on-time, on-budget and on-quality
products for team members.
● Knowledge of gender and youth theory and practice
● Assist in the development of research methodologies
● Collect and analyse raw data/information to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and other helpful and/or interesting
information.
● Review literature on employment and education for refugee research topics critically to develop comprehensive and
digestible summaries and reviews.
● Create reports and presentations to summarise findings and influence decision-making.
● Supports team members to effectively achieve project objectives, budgets, and timelines, monitor progress, and
evaluate performance.
● Willing to frequently travel locally for project-related fieldwork.

Qualifications & Skills:
● Master's in development studies, economics, education, environmental studies, gender & sexuality, sociology,
statistics and/or sustainability.
● At least 3 years of research experience in conducting research and a minimum 1 publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
● Experience and knowledge of research methodologies, data collection, and analysis techniques, and be able to conduct iterature reviews, synthesise information, and formulate research questions.
● Ability to stay organised, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
● Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret data, identify patterns or trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
● Willing to learn new techniques, adapt to different research methods, and handle unexpected challenges that may arisen during the research process.
● Strong presentation, research, and verbal and written communication.
● Fluency in English and Arabic.
● Experience using research software, such as EndNote or Mendeley, NVivo, SPSS or STATA, Tableau or Microsoft
Power BI.
