Introduction:
The Enchanté Network is Canada’s largest network of 2SLGBTQI+ organizations, uniting more than 200 2SLGBTQI+ organizations and spanning every province and territory. The Rainbow Resilience Fund project will support  2SLGBTQI+ organizations across Canada in the prevention and response to hate crimes.

Project Overview:
In 2021, the Enchanté Network released the report, Driving Transformational Change: A Funder’s Guide to Supporting 2SLGBTQI+ Organizations. This second report focuses more on emergency funding. After a 64% surge in hate crimes targeting the 2SLGBTQI+ community, the Enchanté Network responded with the Rainbow Resilience Fund. This fund leveraged the lessons from our 2021 report to quickly and efficiently roll out the $500,000 Rainbow Resilience Fund in a truly low-barrier way, supporting nonprofits and grassroots organizations to create anti-hate infrastructure.
A number of lessons learned can be scaled by larger philanthropic actors, and so this project is looking to educate other funders on emergency funding distribution, using the Rainbow Resilience Fund as an example. Through engagement with the successful grantee organizations and advisory from the Enchanté Network leadership team, the successful consultant will develop the final report.
