About the position

Women Tech EU is a 2-years Horizon Europe (HE) project led by EIT Manufacturing West. The initiative offers first-class coaching and mentoring to female founders, as well as targeted funding to help take their business to the next level. The project has started on the 1st of February 2024.

The Project Management Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring financial transparency, accountability, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Their expertise and diligence will contribute to the successful implementation of WomenTechEU and the achievement of project objectives. 

This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and empowerment of women entrepreneurs in Europe.

Missions and key Accountabilities:

• Budget management
• Cascade funds management
• Report the action implementation in accordance with the HE rules..
• Procurement and purchase management: in compliance with EIT M West procurement policy and EU rules.
• The Officer will contribute to bid preparations in collaboration with EIT Manufacturing West External Program Manager.
• The Officer will report directly to EIT Manufacturing WomenTechEU Lead, Teresa Hernández Martín.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field is a plus.
• Financial or accounting professional certification is a plus.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in financial reporting and accounting.
• 1+ years of experience with EU funding regulations. Knowledge in Horizon Europe program (or former EU RTD Framework Programmes) is a must.
• Cascade funding management experience is a plus.
• International and multi-cultural teams experience is a plus.
• Good command of IT tools (MS Office, Web collaborative tools…)
• Fluent in English. Proficiency in Spanish and/or additional European languages is a plus.
• The ideal candidate will possess a genuine interest in supporting women entrepreneurs.
