 The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), based in Kathmandu, Nepal, is the leading institute for the study of the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH). As an intergovernmental knowledge and development organisation with a focus on reducing climate and environmental risks, green and resilient economies and landscapes, and sustainable collective action, we work in our eight regional member countries – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan. We work to support transformative action required for the HKH to face the challenges of the escalating effects of climate change, air pollution, water insecurity, increased disaster risk, biodiversity loss, and widespread socioeconomic changes. We are seeking potential consultants with expertise in areas aligned with ICIMOD’s mission of sustainable and resilient mountain development as well as its professional services.

REQUIRED SERVICES FOR CONSULTANCIES
Selected consultants will be required to provide services such as:
• Conducting research and technical analysis in  relevant fields
• Developing and writing proposals
• Developing new business/resource mobilisation
• Developing, reviewing, and updating strategies, policies, standard operating procedures, plans, and training manuals
• Facilitating workshops, training sessions, and capacity-building activities
• Preparing high-quality reports, publications, and communication materials • Providing policy and expert advice and technical support for project implementation
• Supporting monitoring and evaluation processes, including data analysis and impact assessment

 MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND  EXPERIENCE 
 At minimum a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field related to ICIMOD’s areas of work. Candidates with a Master’s degree or PhD are highly preferred. 
Proven experience in the relevant area of expertise, preferably with a minimum of five years in a related field. 
Proficiency in English; additional language skills relevant to the HKH region are an advantage.
