About The Circle  
The Circle NGO is a unique and dynamic organisation which brings global feminists together to fight for the safety and equality of marginalised and vulnerable women around the world. 
Founded by singer-songwriter and activist, Annie Lennox, The Circle is a space for creative ideas, connections and the opportunity to make change. From small beginnings in 2008, we have grown into an independent network of women and allies from all walks of life who are bonded by the desire to live in a world where women and girls’ equal rights and equal opportunities. 

About the role: 
The Philanthropy Manager will support on the delivery of income and the fundraising strategy.  
  • You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, and the CEO to develop fundraising opportunities and drive income via major donors, corporates, trusts and foundations, special events and other initiatives.  
  • You will help identify and cultivate relationships with HNWIs, corporations and trusts and foundations with the goal of 5 and 6 figure gifts.  
  • You will help identify and cultivate relationships with new corporation partners, creating innovative ways to engage with different sectors. 
  • You will proactively identify and pursue new and different ways to raise income that is suitable to The Circle, our audience and our supporters. 
  • You will assist with identifying and applying to appropriate trusts and foundations, writing compelling and unique applications.  
  • You will Identify and successfully manage opportunities for special events and activities to steward existing donors and bring prospective donors into a solicitation phase for 5 and 6 figure gifts. 
  • You will support, and in some cases identify and create, new cases for support, especially for core funding and specific programme work. 

About you: 
  • You have demonstrable expertise in securing five-figure plus donations from major donors/corporate partners/trusts & foundations 
  • You have demonstrable expertise in designing and delivering high quality fundraising events 
  • You are an experienced relationship fundraiser and project manager, ideally with major donor/special events expertise and/or a corporate fundraising background. 
  • You have demonstrable experience and confidence in building relationships, working with high profile supporters and stewarding key donors. 
  • You are self-motivated, have entrepreneurial and creative approach with demonstrable ability to take the initiative and drive activity – The Circle is a small organisation, and the team all work remotely 
  • You are resilient and comfortable working towards ambitious targets 
  • You have a background/passion in international development and/or women’s rights
