Background 
The Equal Measures 2030 (EM2030) coalition is a collective of national, regional, and global leaders from feminist networks, civil society, and international development. The coalition's overarching goal is to bridge the gap between data and evidence and advocacy and action on gender equality to transform the lives of women and girls and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

Consultancy Main and Specific Objectives 
The main objective of this consultancy is to revise the EM2030 data-driven advocacy facilitator guide. Specifically, the consultancy aims to achieve the following specific objectives: 
  • Conduct a review of the training landscape for gender advocates on topics addressed in the facilitator guides, such as data, data-driven advocacy, and gender data. 
  • Revise the content and methodology of the data-driven advocacy facilitator guide. 
  • Support the implementation of a training of trainers based on the revised guide. 

Scope of Work
 
Objective 1: Conduct a review of the training landscape for gender advocates on topics addressed in the facilitator guides, such as data, data-driven advocacy, and gender data. 

  • Undertake thorough desk research by reviewing existing documents, training modules, and materials related to data, data-driven advocacy, and gender data. 
  • Analyse the identified documents and materials to understand the current training landscape comprehensively, including a mapping of funders for gender data training. 

Objective 2: Revise the content and methodology of the data-driven advocacy facilitator guide. 

  • Based on the findings of an assessment conducted by the EM2030 Secretariat and guided by the outcomes of objective 1, revise the content and methodology of the data-driven advocacy facilitator guide to address identified gaps. 
  • Share the draft guide with coalition members, key experts, and other potential target audiences for their input and feedback. 

Objective 3: Support the implementation of trainer training based on the revised guide


  • Collaborate with the Equal Measures 2030 Secretariat team to organise and facilitate an online Training of Trainers workshop. 
  • Assist in the workshop's implementation, ensuring the effective utilisation of the revised guide. 


Deliverable 1: Report on Training Landscape and Needs for Gender Data

Requirements 

  • An advanced degree or equivalent in Statistics, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Policy, or any related social science. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of gender equality. 
  • A deep understanding of and commitment to Feminist and Anti-Oppression values and principles.  
  • Fluency in English, Spanish and French language skills will be an added advantage. 
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders from diverse social and cultural backgrounds. 
  • Possesses at least 7-10 years of prior work experience in training, gender data, and data-driven advocacy. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience in conducting and developing training modules/curricula and creating training materials. 
  • Displays excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills in English.
