Key responsibilities
- Develops – in collaboration with relevant colleagues in both Program and Engagement units - Oxfam Novib’s Global, European, and Dutch influencing and campaigning strategies on GEJSI (stand-alone and/or mainstreamed in Oxfam Novib’s campaigns and Corporate Lobby priorities).
- Leads in the development, implementation, and adaptation of ER4A’s key SRHR program’s Global Influencing strategy, together with relevant partners, ensuring explicit connections to Oxfam Novib’s Global, European, and Dutch influencing and campaigning strategies.
- Carries out assessments - in collaboration with relevant program teams and units – on the level of realization of Oxfam Novib’s position and stand regarding GEJSI and the application of the “GEJSI Lens” across campaigns and Corporate Lobby priorities.
- Leads on maintaining Gender Justice in Oxfam Novib’s advocacy and campaigning agenda – such as key moments such International Women’s Day, Pride Month, and 16 Days of Activism -, and to ensure consistency of messages and the approaches.
- Leads on the design and implementation of ER4A’s key SRHR program's Influencing Capacity Strengthening Strategy and Plan, together with influencing capacity strengthening specialist.
- Has a leading role in documenting knowledge generated by ER4A’s key SRHR program regarding influencing work at local, regional, and global levels and sharing those learnings with relevant donors, partners, Country Offices and/or Oxfam in cooperation with others.
- Develops and implements mechanisms for collaboration between ER4A’s key SRHR program and other existing and in-development programs and projects regarding Gender Justice Influencing strategies and connections to Oxfam Novib’s Dutch influencing work.
- Acts as a key-expert in representation of Equal Rights for All and Oxfam Novib with external stakeholders, including officials in relevant Dutch government departments, European/global institutions, and other relevant external forums including (but not exclusively) Wo=Men and SRHR Lobby group.
Who are we looking for?
- Have a WO master or HBO bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Have knowledge of and at least 5 years of experience in the field of gender justice and/or women’s rights and positioning those topics at high level international fora and Dutch national level.
- Have the ability to link global to regional and national influencing goals and strategies.
- Have experience and/or affinity with the thematic area of the Equal Rights for All unit, working towards ensuring that marginalized/excluded individuals and groups, particularly women, LGBTQIA+ people and youth are empowered and in charge of their own future.
- Have demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and reflection, particularly in challenging traditional power structures and systems of oppression.
- Have a commitment to learning and developing feminist and decolonial approaches to work.
- Are fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing
