Economic justice Gender-based violence (GBV)
The primary purpose of MEAL department at WELis to find a candidate to support M&E field processes. 

Experience: 0-1 year


Responsibilities

  • Assist main and field offices teams in developing and implementing project M&E systems
  • Support in data entry and database management 
  • Support in developing and implementing Monitoring and Evaluation Plans. 
  • Aid in data quality and data management plan development and implementation. 
  • Support in providing mentoring guidance throughout the project lifecycle and review M&E deliverables. 
  • Assist in building staff capacity for data quality and conduct internal data quality audits. 
  • Support in preparing project teams for external data quality audits and help in maintaining rigorous quality assurance programs. 
  • Contribute to ensuring effective evaluation systems are in place for assigned projects to determine outcomes and impact results. 
  • Assist in coordinating and providing staff training on program monitoring and evaluation issues/methods/tools. 
  • Participate in M&E reconnaissance during capture trips and proposal development. 
  • Contribute to writing M&E sections of proposals and propose appropriate indicators aligned with technical proposals. 
  • Support in developing performance targets for project proposals and proposed learning agendas. 
  • Assist in reviewing program M&E status across projects and provide feedback on needs, trends, and best practices. 
  • Contribute to preparing research agenda and assist in designing knowledge management systems. 
  • Remain informed of new developments in M&E and donor regulations and contribute to knowledge sharing. 
  • Perform any other duties assigned 


Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A continuing a bachelor's degree student (or just completed) in a relevant field such as International Development, Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Project Management or a related discipline. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential. 
  • Should be able to maintain accurate/precise records, to perform detailed work and to handle a large volume of work quickly and accurately under time constraints. 
  • Should be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision. 
  • Courtesy, tact and the ability to work effectively with people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. 
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and cultural sensibility skills. 
  • Computer literacy with possible advanced Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Ms access.
