About the role:
Be Girl’s primary driver of revenue is business-to-institution (B2I) sales to NGOs, nonprofits, governments, and multilaterals. The Partnerships Manager is responsible for managing their own portfolio of client relationships and guiding the development of new business and convert leads and opportunities into sales. 

B2I Sales & Business Development 

  • Own portfolio (s) of B2I clients and lead the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting, qualifying to closing sales by identifying and nurturing relationships with key international NGOs and multilaterals in a set of strategically identified countries in Africa. 

  • Ensure that special client projects (e.g., pilot reports, training-of-trainers) are implemented on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.  

  • Lead negotiations and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring that terms are mutually beneficial and aligned with the organizational objectives and processes. 

  • Support team members to draft, review and submit proposals as needed.

  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with key contacts from relevant NGO and government partners, UN agencies, and/or donor organizations. 

  • Identify innovative ways to grow business, impact, and partnerships. 

 
Business Communications

  • Stay abreast of the latest news and actively engage in discussions around global menstrual health to inform sales and marketing activities.

  • Represent Be Girl at key local events, conferences, and opportunities for visibility and brand development.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all marketing efforts and communications support B2I business objectives.

 
Data Tracking

  • Track personal KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis and report to the CBO, and make evidence-informed recommendations for strategy/tactic iteration as needed.
 
Organizational processes, teamwork, and culture

  • Work with internal teams to improve processes, with an eye toward improving customer experience.

  • Display commitment to helping the overall team meet and exceed goals

Key Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field 

  • 3+ years of experience in sales/partnership development within the humanitarian or nonprofit sector with a proven track record in sales and successfully building and managing strategic partnerships

  • Excellent networking skills, both online and in-person

  • Strong strategic mind, able to think creatively 

  • Strong understanding of the humanitarian sector, including key stakeholders and trends

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to manage a team

  • Strong data analytics, data management, and problem-solving skills

  • Capability to work independently in a fast-paced, lean organization 

  • Fluency in English is a requirement, any other language skills are a plus
