About us
The UK Women’s Budget Group is a feminist think tank that provides evidence and capacity building on women’s economic position and that proposes policy alternatives for a gender-equal economy. We act as a link between academia, the women’s voluntary sector and the social policy world of think tanks. 

Job description 
●       Working with the Head of Communications and Public Affairs to develop and deliver a digital communications strategy      
●       Responsibility for building an audience on new channels (Instagram) and create content including videos and infographics for use across all channels. 
●       Creating content and drafting copy to support the promotion of new reports, budget responses, briefing papers and media appearances on social media channels and website. 
●       Working with WBG colleagues to produce content for the website with a focus on visual content. Responsibility for updating website and maintaining consistent visual identity.
●       Leading on maintaining and updating the website and ensuring continuity of content. 
●       Reporting and evaluating on our social media and website analytics. Expanding on our digital reporting and analytics to steer our digital strategy. 
●       Working with colleagues and WBG designers on the design and production of WBG materials including reports, briefings, templates and infographics. Leading on the design of report covers and other assets. 
●       Ensuring effective and timely network communications including writing, designing and sending regular newsletters with support from other members of the Communications team. 
●       Working with WBG colleagues to support successful events including public meetings, launch events, workshops and seminars including responsibility for capturing digital content at events.  
●       Undertaking own administration
●       Representing the Women’s Budget Group at meetings and conferences as requested by the Head of Communications and Public Affairs 
●       Participating in WBG team meetings and meetings of the WBG Board as required
●       Undertaking any other duties falling within the scope of the work

Ability to think and work creatively 
Ability to communicate effectively, visually and in writing, to a range of audiences and through a range of digital media
Ability to judge political and organisational sensitivities and risks, and to adapt messaging accordingly
Ability to present complex policy information to a general audience in an accessible way
Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently to meet deadlines 

Administration and co-ordination
Excellent organisational skills including ability to work on own initiative, prioritise tasks and manage deadlines
High level of computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office packages 

Personal qualities
Proven ability to work flexibly and collaborate as part of a small team
Commitment to and desire to promote women’s equality and the values and principles of the Women’s Budget Group
