About the role
Leadership and Governance
•As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contribute to the development and delivery of the Young Women’s Trust’s strategic and operational goals
•Play a full part in the collective leadership of Young Women’s Trust, role-modelling our values and inspiring colleagues.
•Contribute to good charity governance, including preparing and presenting high-quality papers to the Board and other Committees.
•Lead on cross-organisational projects in line with organisational strategy.
•Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the charity at all levels, adopting and encouraging a collaborative approach.

Fundraising strategy
•Based on a robust analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of our existing fundraising function, sector best practices and growth opportunities, develop and deliver a fundraising strategy in line with organisational ambitions and budgets.
•As a key part of this strategy, develop our high-value fundraising programme, leading a pivot from lower-value fundraising bids and partnerships to higher value opportunities across multiple income streams.
•Ensure the fundraising strategy is developed collaboratively with colleagues in the organisation, building on past learning and ensuring that key inter-dependencies with other plans are identified and managed effectively

Team management
•Provide excellent line management, support and development for the Fundraising team members.
•Oversee team budgets ensuring all costs are approved and tracked, reviewing monthly management accounts and providing regular reports as required.
•Ensure comprehensive business plan reporting and analysis for your team, ensuring all objectives and KPIs are met.


Person Specification
•Strong track record of developing and implementing an ambitious strategy to meet fundraising targets. 
•Strong track record of securing high-value gifts from trusts & foundations, major donors and corporate partners. 
•Experience of being a member of a senior leadership team, working strategically to develop and deliver organisational strategy
•Significant experience in developing and managing high-performing teams
•Experience in effectively managing and monitoring budgets. 
•A strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and make decisions in line with the charity’s needs as part of a team.
•Collaborative working style and excellent relationship-building skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak engagingly to a wide range of audiences and to represent Young Women’s Trust externally.
