IPPF aims to ensure that all people are free to make choices about their sexuality and wellbeing, in a world free of discrimination.
Outcomes:
1. Provide technical assistance to 8 SPRINT MAs to meet minimum requirements for SGBV service provision and to strengthen their SGBV programming
• Strengthen key SGBV tools used by MA (referral pathways, clinical SOPs).
• Support the drafting of Policy Briefs and Research Studies at MAs level.
• Provide capacity development on SGBV Fundamentals, LIVES and Clinical Management of Rape.
2. Provide technical assistance to other MAs operating in humanitarian and/or fragile settings to mainstream SGBV into their preparedness and response plan.
• Ensure input and guidance for the development of emergency proposals and emergency response reports.
• Conduct capacity development initiatives such as coaching, information sessions, trainings etc.
• Support mainstreaming of SGBV into preparedness plans and response.
3. Support the development of the SGBV Programming and Advocacy Portfolio through regional and global initiatives.
• Follow up on the finalization/layout of SGBV training packages (e-learning SGBV fundamentals, adaptation to development contexts etc.) and transition to global platform for Secretariat use.
• Follow up on the implementation of a global e-survey on SGBV service provision.
• Support the continued analysis and use of SGBV data across the federation.
4. Represent IPPF in regional and global SGBV Fora.
• Co-lead the IAWG Advocacy working group
• Attend the GBV AoR core members meetings.
• Represent IPPF in the Call to Action to prevent and respond to GBV.
Skills/Expertise
• Significant experience in SGBV, programme design, implementation, capacity building and advocacy in development and humanitarian settings.
• Significant experience developing organizational guidance and promoting reflective learning on technical issues, relating to SGBV.
• Advanced understanding of gender transformative programming and inclusion, and on how humanitarian crises affect different segments of a population, including women and men in their diversity, youth, people with disabilities, including those of diverse sexual orientation and gender identity etc.
• Significant experience of training and mentoring teams on SGBV programming with the ability to bring diverse actors together across cultures and geographies to create an aligned and powerful force for change.
• Strong track record of technical leadership, and proven ability to produce demonstrable results
• Experience working in SGBV programs in the Health Sector settings, including on reproductive coercion, intimate partner violence, sexual violence and female genital mutilation
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills to internal and external audiences.
• Sound judgement, particularly in constrained and pressured situations and environments.
• Fluent in English, other IPPF languages desirable
