Overview
Women for Women International (WfWI) has been engaging men as allies to build gender equality for over 20 years. After delivering different training and engagement programs in each country for most of this time, in 2022 a new global men’s engagement program curriculum was developed – drawing on WfWI’s own learning and sector-wide best practice – to strengthen this work. The new curriculum has been piloted in four countries (Iraq, Nigeria, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo) in 2023 / early 2024 and WfWI now seeks to analyze and draw learnings from the pilot phase.

Consultancy Purpose
WfWI is seeking an experienced social science consultant to undertake in-depth secondary and primary analysis and synthesis of learnings from its new Men's Engagement Program (MEP) curriculum pilots. WfWI will make available all of the (de-identified) data already gathered through the monitoring, learning and evaluation activities and require the consultant to analyze the data, identify key themes/trends and summarize the findings into a Learning Paper with recommendations.

The paper should address the following key learning questions:
1. What effect (if any) is the revised MEP having on participants?
2. What effect (if any) is the revised MEP having on spouses (women)?
3. How well is delivery of the new MEP curriculum working and how can it be further improved?
4.  Why do certain aspects work better/worse in some contexts compared to others?
5. Does the learning justify continuation with the new curriculum?
6. Do the benefits of continuing with the MEP outweigh the costs?

It is not anticipated that the consultant will need to do any significant data gathering themselves, however if they identify specific gaps in relation to these learning questions, they may need to conduct a small number of interviews to complement existing data.

Expected Deliverables
· Review documentation about WfWI’s new MEP curriculum and data gathered from participants, female relatives, facilitators and staff.
· Analyze data to draw out key learnings and themes (in response to the above learning questions).
· Additional data collection, if required, to be able to respond to the learning questions.
· Draft a (max. 15 page) Learning Paper summarizing the findings from the pilots. Additional annexes for internal use can provide more detailed information.
· Validate the findings through an online workshop with key WfWI staff.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
·  Master’s degree or equivalent postgraduate degree in social sciences, public policy, public health, social work, or other relevant field [Number of years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.]
·   Experience in men’s engagement program delivery and curriculum development.

·  Proven experience of leading research, evaluation or learning studies.
·  Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
· Experience producing concise and accessible learning outputs / resources for various stakeholders.
