About Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse
Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse (STADA) is a UK charity bringing communities together to end domestic abuse. We support organisations, including the police, criminal justice partners, social services, healthcare workers and charities, to identify and respond effectively together to domestic abuse. Our aim is to help these agencies to work in partnership so that people receive the best support at the time they need it. The Coordinated Community Response brings services together to ensure local systems truly keep survivors safe, hold abusers to account, and prevent domestic abuse.

Training delivery & development
• Deliver a variety of domestic abuse training & upskilling packages to housing, homelessness and DA sector professionals.
• Lead on delivery of all available courses
• Work closely with the Housing Senior Training Lead on the development of the courses in line with existing course structures and content design
Accountability to the DAHA Accreditation Manager (Homelessness & Supported Accommodation)
• Keep the Manager updated on progress and participate in supervisions and annual appraisals.
• Work to the priorities, standards, milestones, and time scale agreed with the Manager on behalf of Standing Together.
External/Partnership Working
• Proactively communicate with our external partners as required, ensuring they are well briefed and up to date with our work as plans evolve.
• Act as a point of contact for partner organisations, ensuring their commitments are reflected in project plans.
• Ensure colleagues across ST and partners are kept informed of projects in a format and frequency agreed with colleagues.
General responsibilities
• Operate within the organisation’s scheme of delegation.
• Abide by all organisational policies, codes of conduct and practice, and to work within a framework of equal opportunities, intersectionality and antidiscriminatory practice.
• Contribute to organisational development and positive change for the effective functioning and sustainability of Standing Together.
• Share information with colleagues (e.g. feedback from conferences and reports), working in a collaborative manner conducive to organisational effectiveness, development and strategic aims.
• Any other duties, commensurate with the level of the role as requested by the line manager or other appropriate person.
Knowledge, skills & experience required:
• A thorough understanding of domestic abuse, its dynamics and its impact on survivors.
• An understanding of the coordinated community response to domestic abuse and commitment to all aspects of partnership working to improve that response.
• A good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities especially in relation to domestic abuse.
• Experience of working in partnership with voluntary and statutory sector agencies to enable their full participation in the partnership.
• Experience of working to organisational protocols and/or developing protocols, procedures and best practice guidance.
• An understanding of, and commitment to, equal opportunities in employment and in service delivery
• Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to use their initiative and judgement in dealing with colleagues and partner agencies without direct supervision.
