KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
- Act as Project lead to the assigned project – Investing in Women EMPOWER Her & Care Social accountability (i.e., work closely with partners for the execution of workplan, exit plan, MELSA work.) with support from WEE Manager.
- Lead in the day-to-day operation and coordination with partners and provide project management and technical guidance to partners on disaster risk reduction, local humanitarian leadership and gender.
- Take the lead in ensuring that Project milestones and budget forecast and top-up is updated.
- Lead in partners coordination to ensure that all reports (financial, narrative, procurement plan, MOVS) are submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with donor and Oxfam requirements, collaborating early to identify potential delays, challenges or capacity gaps and coordinating with colleagues to address and rectify.
- Review project budget; prepares monthly Top-up and attend/take the lead in contract management session with program support and operations team.
- Ensure that proper administration and logistics systems and procedures are followed in all relevant activities of the program and project in close collaboration with logistics and admin to support security management, organizing field visits, project reviews and learning events, Project Management Team meetings, and other capacity building activities with partners as applicable.
Partnership Management
- Take the lead in partners relations management for implementing partners of the assigned project. For the wider resilience portfolio, support in developing strong organizational relationships with partner organizations, coordinate and monitor all activities and communications to ensure that they reflect the spirit and intent of the country program’s Strategic Partnership Model.
- Support in developing, improving, and embedding the country program’s Strategic Partnership Model across the organization. Support the Programs and Partnerships unit in developing a diverse portfolio of external partners that both aligns with the Strategic Partnership Model and supports high quality delivery of Oxfam’s Country Strategy in the Philippines.
- With the WEE Manager, ensure that partners are equal stakeholders in project management, reporting, and MELSA, and that the way that we engage with partners in these areas are empowering, principled and fully aligned with the Strategic Partnership Model.
Essential
- At least three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience in development and humanitarian work; implementation of any gender and or women economic empowerment initiatives
- Knowledge and experience in Learning and Knowledge Management and social accountability mechanism
- Demonstrated competencies in basic project management cycle, especially in areas of monitoring and learning, financial management of budgets and report-writing.
- Experience in basic grants management and donor compliance.
- Experience of and ability to build, sustain, and manage strong partnerships and work collaboratively with a wide variety of organizations in different geographic areas including government agencies, CSOs, NGOs, and private sector institutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multicultural settings and with community groups of varying backgrounds, developed capacity for tact, diplomacy and negotiation.
